Guitarras Tango

Guitarras Tango is an ensemble that performs melancholic and ‘virtuoso' tango's, milonga's and waltzes. The guitar trio, which is formed by two guitars and the deeper sounding guitarrón, is completed with the warm sounding voice of the singer Maria Jose Ortiz.

The combination of guitar, guitarrón and singing has always been important within the history of tango.

The initiator of this ensemble, Kay Sleking, prefers to perform tango ‘unpolished', which makes that he chooses for this traditional setting. The music performed in this special setting takes you at its first sound to a Buenos Aires tango café.
