Maria Jose Ortiz and Kay Sleking regularly give concerts in cafes, small theaters and on private partys. In May they recorded a CD with beautiful sung and instrumental tango's, milonga's and waltzes. July the CD will be available on this website. Saterday 17th of May they will be broadcasted by Amsterdam FM (106.FM . cabel 103.3) between 14:00 and 17:00 hours.

Singing, accompanied by guitar. It is an age-old combination within Argentinean Tango. Singer Maria José Ortiz sings beautiful Tango songs in a melancholic mood, about eternal longing, love. She will be accompanied by guitarist Kay Sleking, who will improvise on the mood of the song.
Maria José Ortiz originally comes from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied classical music and singing at the University of San Juan, and Tango, Jazz and Latin American Folklore in Buenos Aires. In 1995 she was awarded as a folklore soloist singer at the prestigious Cordoba Pre-Consquin Festival.
